The Abbey Of Ioannis the Precursor

The Abbey Of Ioannis the Precursor was built back in 1617 and was home to up to 40 monks up until 1960. The Abbey today is now pretty much deserted, the building looks abandoned and the weeds have stifled the once beautiful garden. Cross over the stone gate with it's steeple and enter into the Abbey which albeit being abandoned can still be admired, you can sit under a tree and relax, take a walk in the gardens and the small church and imagine how it once was.
