Zakynthos' climate is Mediterranean with heavy rainfall from November through to January and large amounts of sunlight throughout the rest of the year. On the island it is the black grape which is mostly cultivated and used not only as fruit but also for the production of wine. The grape is a product which is subsidised from the European Union and constitutes one of the main sources of income for the local farmers. The vineyards in Zakynthos produce wine that can satisfy different tastes with not only it's smell, colour, and flavour but also with it's many different varieties.

Zakynthos is an island full of olive trees and the production of olive oil is also the main source of income for many of the zakynthian farmers. Oil is produced in the old natural way that certifies the quality of the provided product.
