A night out at Navagio Beach (the ship wreak beach)

We've started our journey from Porto Vromi . From there the distance to Navagio Beach is about 4 Nautical Miles and the sea can be rough if you do not pick the right day. Nevertheless we did pick up the right day and our journey to navagio beach was fabulous. It took as about 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the beach. It is not exactly the easiest trip I've done with sea kayak but it certainly was the most impressive. The scenery is apocalyptic, huge cliffs, caves, tiny beaches and the bluest waters I've ever seen. And then we've reached our destination…the most famous beach of Mediterranean sea and the most populated. The tourists, up on the beach, where so many that you were getting the same feeling as when you stack in a terminal with many delayed flights. From the other hand though the beach the cliffs the ship wreak the amazing colors of the sea is something that you cannot just overlook. Since we knew that we won't be able to avoid all these crowds we had curry with us food and all the necessary staff to spend the night there…and that was amazing. After 7pm, when the last boat left the beach, it was like the show had started. Just us and the beach. The way the walls of the cliffs rise to the sky, the white marble stones of the beach, and the rusted remains of the boat in the middle of the beach is just out of this world. But what it proved to be the most amazing spectacular was when the moon rose (it was a full moon), the whole place was glowing. It was like having neon lights all over the place waiting for the aliens to arrive (they didn't). Next day we left as soon as the first boat arrived at 9am. It was a day trip but it felt like a lifetime trip.
