Bochali

Bochali, impressive due to its location is one of the most beautiful areas of Zakynthos. No matter what time you visit, whether it be day or night the view is breathtaking. From here you can see all of Zakynthos Town, the port, the deep blue Ionian sea, Skopos mountain, the Gulf of Laganas and Marathonisi. Boxali was the first area developed when Zakynthos extended beyond the confines of the castle and soon became a favorite place for the aristocrats to visit. Nowadays tourism is highly developed with numerous cafes and bars. You can walk through the beautiful streets in between the old houses and stop off at the small square for lunch or a coffee while enjoying the magnificent views. To the left of the square stands the church of ‘Chrysopigi’ with its tall bell tower, if you cross the cobbled street leading from the square this takes you up to the castle.
