There are prevailing winds most days which can strengthen during the afternoon, this is more so in the northeastern and northwestern parts of the island. Zakynthos has a wide variety of different landscapes for you to explore. In the southern area of the island you have the ecological paradise of Laganas Bay, here the water is almost always calm, speedboats are banned and if you are lucky enough you may swim come across some turtles and swim with them. Towards the north of the island prepare yourself for the toughest of adventures surrounded by impressive scenery, with caves, steep cliffs, islets, bays and incredible deep blue waters full of life.
