Exo Hora

A small traditional village in the north of Zakynthos. The village of Exo Hora is one of few that survived the earthquake of 1953. Here you should take a walk and admire the houses with their beautifully groomed gardens, flowers, plants, shrubs and narrow streets. In the central square you can enjoy a coffee while surrounded by the tranquility of nature and marvel at the olive trees that with the passage of time now resemble elaborate sculptures,  after your coffee you can then go shopping for some local products so that you can take a taste of Zakynthos home with you. Now leave the square and take left following the sign for the Italian Centre, when you reach the half-ruined stone building with domes you can stop and pay a visit here and enjoy the view.
